Production art from the 1965 Tom & Jerry cartoon, The Brothers Carry-Mouse-Off. By the beard of Zeus, who came up with that title? It’s a play on The Brothers Karamazov of course.
I tried to read that book once, but I don’t think I got much further than page 10. My mind tends to drift.
How to draw Tom & Jerry? A big load of Tom & Jerry model sheets (and “attitude sheets”, as some of these are called in animator’s terms) should help you out.









A few fonts and things from WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (1971). I always thought the candy in the film looked so unappetizing. Like jars of painted kidney stones. The chocolate river in the factory seemed filled with baby diarrhea or something, or like the murky stream near a refinery. But anyway—the film is a classic of course, and Gene Wilder is supreme in it: a cordial demon.
